ABOUT ENTRANS

ENTRANS Policy Research Group is an Ottawa-based consulting firm providing a wide range of services primarily in the areas of energy, transportation, environment and taxation. Our chief clients are government departments, industry associations and other non-governmental organizations with an interest in policy development.

ENTRANS was founded in 2007 by four principals - John Lawson, Bob Lyman, Neil McIlveen and Bill Toms - who collectively have been centrally involved in many of the major energy, transportation, taxation, and environment files over the past thirty years. The company name reflects this involvement: EN for energy and environment and TRANS for transportation. Each partner benefits from a long career as an executive in the federal public service, retaining a network of professional and personal contacts within the federal and provincial governments and in the stakeholder community.
